OUR TEAM

We believe that every Christ-follower is in "full-time ministry," carrying out the message of Jesus to the world. That said, our church is led by a number of gifted and passionate people who serve for the sake of the good news of Jesus to our community and the world.

WILSON + NINA WANG

Lead Pastor and Children's pastor

In 5th grade, when other kids were dreaming about becoming an astronaut, firefighter or teacher, I thought, one day I want to start a church and I'll have a sign that says: "for imperfect people only." That sign sits at the front door of Renew Church OC and comforts everyone who walks in as well as myself. It reminds me every Sunday that I get to be flawed, raw, silly and me.

Aside from church, I’m thankful to be married to my sassy Aussie-Korean wife, Nina and we have a fat baby named Liam. I’m a hobby addict that can marker off my life in basketball, climbing, biking, boxing and now a dedicated beach volleyball player.

JONATHAN + KRISTEN WHITMORE

Leadership team

Jonathan grew up in San Diego in a Christian family, but did not receive Christ as his personal Savior until later in high school. Kristen grew up in Visalia, CA, and received Christ during her freshman year of college. They both attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and there were involved with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), which is how they met. They now have two awesome kiddos, Lucy and Lincoln.

DAVE JUNG

Families and Married Pastor

Dave Jung is the Family Ministries Pastor here at Renew Church. His passion is to lead and encourage the spiritual growth of the families through small groups and community involvement. He loves Ministry, Marvel comics, Mixed Martial Arts, and Movies. He loves sports and is into watching almost any sport known to man!!!
